READ

Leigh McCarty | Studio Associate

Leigh’s Summer Picks:
  • Summer Vacation Pick: Fort Walton Beach, FL
  • Summer Reading Pick: “Pursuing Christ. Creating Art.: Exploring Life at the Intersection of Faith and Creativity” By Gary A. Molander
  • Why read this book? This book is a quick read, but it is full of so much wisdom. The author shows us that we are all creatives because God is the Ultimate Creator and He created us in His image. The book offers a profound exploration of how one’s faith can be harmoniously integrated with the pursuit of artistic endeavors. If you have ever wondered how you can use your creative side to glorify the Lord, this book is for you.
  • Who would enjoy this book? Creatives/Artists, Anyone feeling called to take a leap of faith and make a career change to pursue Christ further

LISTEN

Sara Hunt | Communications Associate

Sara’s Summer Picks:
  • Summer Vacation Pick: Any beach!
  • Summer Podcast Pick: “Practicing the Way” Podcast by John Mark Comer
  • Why listen to this podcast? I would recommend this podcast because it focuses on how to live like Jesus. As Christians, we can sometimes make following Jesus WAY more complicated than it actually is.  In the words of John Mark Comer, being a disciple looks like "being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did."
  • Who would enjoy this podcast? Anyone genuinely interested in following Jesus on the daily

STUDY

Raley Millet | Next Gen Communications Associate

Raley’s Summer Picks:
  • Summer Vacation Pick: San Diego, CA
  • Summer Bible Reading Plan Pick: “Blended” Reading Plan by Blue Letter Bible
  • Why recommend this? It hit me several years ago that as a Christ-follower, I claim to live my life by the Word of God, but I felt a conviction that I had never read the Bible in its entirety. Imagine telling people that your favorite book is one you've only read a few chapters of! I began using this plan to challenge myself to read the Bible in a year in a non-traditional order.
  • Who would enjoy this resource? I think someone looking to read through the entire Bible in a way that highlights themes and the historical context of the Bible would enjoy this resource! The amount of reading each day doesn’t feel too overwhelming and makes it simpler to stay on track!
