Scripture: Matthew 27:62-66

The tomb was secured, the stone sealed, and the guard set. The story seemed to be done. For the disciples, the last chapter had been written in the life of this man they called Jesus. The despair, brokenness, worry, anxiety, and pain sat heavily on the followers of Jesus. Are you in a season where life feels like uncertainty rules the day and peace is nowhere to be found? Even when you can’t see it, God is working. He has not forgotten or lost sight of you. He is not dead, nor is He done with you. 

Life Application:

• What burdens do you need to leave at the cross today? 
• Easter at Venture begins tonight at 6 p.m. Come ready to lay your burdens down and lift your hands in worship. 

Prayer Prompt:

• Bring your despair, brokenness, worry, anxiety, and pain to Jesus in prayer. 
• Thank God for His faithfulness in every season. Pray Lamentations 3:22-24: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.’”
