Read Titus 2:11-14

Head

Do you ever hear Bible verses or read Bible stories and think to yourself, “This does not really apply to me. The Bible is only for grownups!” Well, I am here to tell you that the Bible is for everyone! The Bible is God’s words to all people, even kids... even you! Titus 2:11 starts by saying, “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.” Pause for a second. Did you read those words? For all people. That does not say just pastors, or KXP leaders, or parents, or even just really good kids who never make mistakes.

God’s grace and salvation are available to ALL people! God is offering us something that we do not deserve: salvation through Jesus!

Heart

Let’s continue with verse 12, “And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

God gives us the best gift of grace, which is Jesus! God’s grace forgives us when we do what is wrong. But He also instructs us to say “no” to sin and “yes” to His way. When we follow God’s way, we live differently. To live differently means not just doing what everyone else does but choosing to live the way Jesus teaches us because we belong to him!

Hands

This week, choose to live differently, like we are instructed to in Titus 2. Show Jesus through your choices and actions. Be committed to doing good deeds. What are some ways you can live this out this week?

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for Your grace, Your forgiveness, and Your love. Help me turn away from sin and towards Your ways for me. Help me to show Your love through my actions. Amen.
