Head

Jesus loved to teach people about God. He told stories called parables to help people understand important lessons. In Matthew 13, He told a story about a farmer planting seeds. The farmer scattered seeds on different kinds of ground. Some seeds fell on a hard path and got eaten by birds. Some fell on rocky ground, so they grew a little but didn’t last because their roots couldn’t go deep. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns choked the plants so they didn’t grow. But some seeds fell on good soil, and those grew big and strong, producing lots of food!

Heart

Jesus explained that the seeds are like God’s Word and the ground is like our hearts. If our hearts are too hard, God’s Word can’t grow in us and make us more like Him. If our hearts are full of worries or distractions, it’s like the rocky or thorny ground where the seeds don’t grow well. But if our hearts are like good soil, ready to listen to God and obey Him, then we can grow strong in His love and do great things for Him!

Hands

Jesus wants us to take care of our hearts. He wants us to grow in our faith. We can do this by praying every day and taking time to read our Bible. If you don’t understand something about what you have read, ask your parents, your KXP Leader, or someone in your House Church. Asking questions can help us learn more and grow in our faith. Tell a friend what you’ve learned about Jesus. Sharing your faith helps you grow closer to Him and helps others know His love, too. We can trust Jesus and His plan for our lives. When we do, we can grow into the people God wants us to be.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for teaching us about God’s love and for taking care of us. Help our hearts to be like good soil so we can grow strong in Your Word. Use us to show Your love to others. Thank You for making little things grow into big, amazing things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
