Read Galatians 4:12-20

Head

As we read Galatians 4:12-20,  we see that Paul is expressing his pain and confusion surrounding the Galatians, because they were putting things before following Jesus. Paul’s relationship with the Galatians began when he was sick while traveling and had to stop. The Galatians met him with hospitality and listened to him as he preached. Everything seemed to be going great until it wasn't! Once the Galatians started to turn back to their old ways, Paul asked them if he was their enemy. He told them the truth, but they were ignoring it! Paul felt like a father to the Galatians. He desperately wanted them to stay in the presence of God.

Heart

We must grow our relationship with God so we don't fall into our old ways. This requires us to trust in God by giving our all to Him, consistently praying, and reading about God are ways to help us know more about who God is.

Hands

Talk with your family about ways to keep growing your relationship with God. Then, discuss WHY these actions help us know and deepen our relationship with God.

Prayer: Dear God, help us stay consistent and grow our relationship with You. Help us learn more about Your love and give us the courage to share it with others. Please help us resist the temptation of falling into our old ways or turning away from You. Amen.
