Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Psalm 99-100
HEAD
Let’s read the first line of the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name” (Matthew 6:9, ESV). Jesus is telling us to start our prayers by saying that our God is holy. Psalm 99-100 is a perfect example of this. We’re told to praise Him, give thanks, make a joyful noise, serve Him with gladness, and bless His name. The Lord is described as forgiving, loving, and faithful. What an incredible God we serve!
HEART
Psalm 100:5 says, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Steadfast means constant, loyal, and true. God loves you. His love for you never changes and lasts forever. No matter what you’ve done or will ever do, God loves you. He created you, and God doesn’t make mistakes. Know that you are loved. Praise Him for this.
HANDS
So often, we’re quick to pray when we need something and forget to thank God for who He is. We spent some time yesterday thanking God for the gifts he’s given us. Today, let’s simply focus on Him.
Prayer: Lord, You are holy. I praise You for being a faithful and forgiving God. I praise You for being a loving God who loves me no matter what. Help me to serve You with gladness. I love You. Amen.
