Read James 4:13-5:20

Head

I love talking to God. I literally don’t say "Amen" because I’m in conversation with Him on and off throughout the day. The last paragraph in the Book of James is all about how important prayer is in our walk with Jesus. We literally should pray about everything! When we’re sick, suffering, cheerful, etc. The passage reminded me of Elijah and how he prayed for there to be no rain, and for three years and six months, it did not rain! He prayed again, and it rained! Elijah was a righteous man who loved the Lord. He didn’t give up praying because he knew the Lord would answer his prayer.

Heart

When we pray, we are getting to talk to our Creator! He loves getting to hear from you! He cares about our needs and is always there to listen. Sometimes we have to pray about things for a while before God answers us, but He always does! It may not be exactly how we wanted, but it’s what’s best for us.

Hands

Make a family prayer chart. Write down prayer requests and praises every night. When God answers your prayer, mark it off the chart. Keep it so you can see how God listens and cares for you!

Prayer: God, thank You for wanting to be in a relationship with us. Thank You for listening to our prayers and for answering them in the way that’s best for us! We love You so much! Amen.
