Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way
Read Ephesians 1:3-8
Head
Before the earth was created, God planned for us to be “holy and blameless in love before Him”(Ephesians 1:4). In Him, we have forgiveness of our sins through His Son, Jesus. He has blessed us with spiritual blessings, like eternal life, a relationship with Him, and the Holy Spirit who helps us, which are so much better than earthly blessings like money or things. Spiritual blessings are permanent, heavenly, and priceless. Earthly blessings are temporary and not secure. Verse 8 says that God poured spiritual blessings on us with wisdom and understanding. God is intentional with His blessings; He gives us what we need!
Heart
Remembering the spiritual blessings that God has given us is so important. The words "in love" are important in these verses. The spiritual blessings were given in love from God. God loves each and every one of us. Everything that God does is done in love and with a purpose. We can thank God for His love and for giving us His only Son to forgive our sins!
Hands
Talk with your family about what you are thankful for. Discuss what God has done in your life. I challenge you to find one friend this week and share what God has done for you and your family.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for blessing us with Your love and intentionality. Please help us remember how You love us and chose to bless us before we were even created. Thank You for blessing us with spiritual blessings far greater than anything on this earth. Amen.
