Head

I’m not sure if any of you can relate, but I’ve always been the person who wants to know, “What’s next?” Whether reading a book or watching a movie or even in everyday life, I’m always asking myself (and God, if I’m being honest), “Okay, now what? What’s next?” Revelation is the ultimate answer to that question. This may be why it’s one of my very favorite books in the Bible. Revelation tells us that Jesus is coming back. And He’s going to make everything right.

Heart

I don’t know about you, but knowing that gives me hope! No matter what else happens, we can rest in the truth that, in the end, darkness will be defeated. When we choose to follow Jesus, we can say with certainty that we are on the winning side. Even in the midst of trouble, my heart is reassured, knowing that the Alpha and Omega, the King of Kings, calls me his child.

Hands

As a family or House Church, take turns naming things that sometimes make you feel afraid, and then say together, “Jesus is bigger and stronger than _________.” Think of one way you can remind yourself that Jesus is King (like writing a verse on a card, praying when you’re nervous, or encouraging a friend).

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for showing us Your glory and power in Revelation. Help us to remember that You are alive, You are King, and You hold our future in Your hands. Take away our fears and fill our hearts with courage and joy. We love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
