Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Psalms 89
Head
Psalm 89:1, “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever...” God’s love and faithfulness are never-ending. It’s hard for me to imagine just how much He loves us. We know we don’t deserve it, and so does He, but that doesn’t change a thing about the way He feels for us. God’s love and faithfulness have nothing to do with the things we do (or don’t do). We can’t earn it, and we can never escape it.
Heart
We can trust that God will always be faithful even when the people in our lives fail us or things don’t go the way we think they should. Our hearts can rest in the peace of knowing that our Heavenly Father holds our lives in His all-powerful hands. As His children, we can also be confident in the calling He has placed on each of our lives. He has a purpose for each of us, and it is our duty to fulfill that mission while we are here on Earth.
Hands
Take turns having each person name or, better yet, write down one way God has been faithful this week. How has He answered prayers or kept His promise to your family?
Prayer: Dear God, You are eternal and faithful through every generation. Thank You for loving us and keeping Your promises. Teach us to use our days wisely, to love You and others well, and to trust Your faithfulness no matter what. We love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
