Head

Have you ever noticed that some people seem to get away with doing things that we as Christians are called not to do? For example, do you have friends at school who are not kind to others? These friends don't seem bothered by being mean or talking about other friends. Most of the time this seems to reflect that they may not have Jesus living in their heart. Being saved and being followers of Jesus requires that we live differently and behave differently than those who are not yet called to follow Him.

Heart

Have you ever felt the joy that comes with doing right? When you reach out to a friend who has been hurt or mistreated by others, does it make you feel good to show them the love of Jesus? Throughout the New Testament, we see Jesus traveling about and hanging out with people others have ignored or rejected. By hanging out with them and healing those who were sick or overlooked, Jesus led those people to follow Him.

Hands

How can you show Jesus’s love to those who do not know Him? Does your behavior reflect that you have Jesus in your heart? Think of someone who you know that shows Jesus through his or her actions. What are some of the things that they do that set them apart?

Prayer: Dear God,  we love your example of how You hung out with so many people that others had overlooked and ignored. Your love made them want to follow You. Help us to show your love to others in such a way that they, too, want to follow You.  We love you so much!  Amen.
