Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Hebrews 4:12
Head
What does it mean when we hear that the Word of God is alive?
The Bible isn’t just an old book—it’s alive because God’s Spirit makes it speak to us today. In my own experience, I can see that the Word is living because I have read different verses at different times in my life, and the verses have taught me a new lesson or met another need. God’s Word is powerful—like a sword that cuts through confusion and shows us what’s true. The Bible helps us see what’s in our hearts—our thoughts, attitudes, and choices. The Bible is alive and powerful—it helps me know what’s right.
Heart
We can be in awe that God’s Word is living and still speaks to us every day.
We can be convicted when God shows us something we need to change.
We can be thankful because God gave us His Word to guide us and keep us close to Him.
I am glad God gave me His Word to help me in my heart.
Hands
Read God’s Word regularly—not just hearing it at church, but opening the Bible at home.
- Apply it: When the Bible tells us to forgive, we forgive; when it says to encourage, we encourage.
- Memorize a verse so God’s Word stays in your heart and can guide you in daily choices.
- Pick one verse this week to memorize and try to live it out.
Prayer: God, thank You for Your Word, which is alive and powerful. Help us listen to it, learn from it, and live it out every day. Amen.
