Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Galatians 1:1-9
Head
I often tell my students, “Raise your hand if…,” and they begin raising their hands. Sometimes (just kidding, of course) I say, “...you want to scrub the toilets.” Ha! They didn’t wait to hear the request or the rest of what I was going to say before they volunteered. When we read the Bible, we often do the same. We hear part of a story and take it to heart, but we need to read the WHOLE story. What’s around the scripture? Why were these words written? What’s the rest of the story? In Galatians 1:1-9, Paul states the importance of preaching the GOSPEL…the TRUTH…exactly what the Bible says. If someone tells you something about the Bible that you are not sure of, go back, read, and KNOW for yourself what the Bible says.
Heart
Do you have questions about what you read in a Bible story or heard at church? Ask a parent or KXP teacher. Go back to the Bible and read about it so you can learn more. Talk about what you read with an adult.
Hands
Tell someone something you learned in the Bible. God wants us to be excited about His Word and share it with others.
Prayer: Lord, help me to always desire to read Your Word more and more. Help me to apply Your Word to my life and be excited to share it with others. Amen.
