- When was a time that you had to wait for something?
- How did you spend your time while you waited?
- Locate and highlight three or more passages in Scripture that reference, “waiting on the Lord.” (Ex. Isaiah 40:31) Share these with your House Church.
- Read Acts 1:4. What gift did Jesus command the disciples to wait for?
- What does this gift provide to us? Who has access to this gift?
- When you receive a gift of any kind, how do you express that it holds value to you?
- According to Luke 11:13, what is the most valuable gift we could ask for?
- How are you continually filled with the power that comes from the gift of the Holy Spirit?
- What has been the biggest realization from studying this piece of Scripture this week, and what will you do with this knowledge?
Prayer
Dear Lord, help me to see Your Holy Spirit as a gift in my life to the degree that I value it above anything or anyone else. I ask that You help me to continually live my life in a way that I rely on Your power daily and that I never take it for granted. Thank you for providing all that I need to fulfill the mission You have given me.
